FACTORY TOURS

Thomas Built Buses is North America's leading bus manufacturer, offering a full line of school, commercial and specialty buses to value-minded buyers. More than one third of the school buses on the road today are Thomas Built Buses. From its manufacturing facilities in High Point, North Carolina, Thomas produces more than 15,000 buses per year.

The company was founded in 1916 by Perley A. Thomas, who began renovating and building streetcars. In 1936 the company began to produce school buses. Today, that same dedication to building the most reliable, safest vehicles possible has made Thomas Built the leader in the industry.

Recently, Thomas Built Buses has opened a state of the art $40,000,000 factory to produce the Saf-T-Liner C2.  It is truly an amazing facility.  It features advanced robotics and manufacturing techniques that make it second to none.  This new factory was featured on the Travel Channel's television show "Made In America With John Ratzenberger".  Mr Ratzenberger was impressed and we're sure you will be too.  You can book a tour through Edwin H. Davis & Son.  Contact us for details and to set up a tour of this amazing factory.  Continue down this page to see pictures of previous tours.
